Glass bottles, made from glass material, are containers that come in various sizes, typically ranging from 200 milliliters to 1.5 liters. They serve a wide range of purposes in commercial industries and are commonly used for storing food condiments, soda, liquor, cosmetics, pickling, and preservatives.
Glass bottles and jars are commonly found in households worldwide. The origins of glass bottle production can be traced back to around 100 B.C. in Southeast Asia and 1 AD in the Roman Empire. In America, the glass bottle and jar industry began in the early 1600s with the construction of the first glass melting furnace in Jamestown. The industrialization of bottle production occurred in 1880 with the invention of the automatic glass bottle blowing machine.
